Since 1 October 2024, the Dillenburg-based family business Weber Group has once again had a two-person management team. As CFO, Dirk Gehrmann is responsible for the areas of finance, controlling, purchasing, IT, sustainability and legal affairs. He is also a member of the Management Board of the Chinese Weber subsidiaries.
Together with CEO Andreas Becker, Dirk Gehrmann is responsible for the strategic development and successful management of the group of companies in a challenging and dynamic environment. The Zipp shareholder family (2nd and 3rd generation) and the supervisory advisory board support the management with the claim: ‘We remain a family business with continuity’.
With more than two decades of experience in the automotive industry, Gehrmann (49) has extensive experience in management and executive management at national and international level. He remains true to the ‘family business’ principle: ‘Over 75 years of experience as a development supplier make the Weber Group a strong partner for the industry. I want to build on this strength and successfully shape the future of the family business together with CEO Andreas Becker.’ For Gehrmann, this means, among other things, using all resources sustainably and responsibly, driving forward the digital transformation where it makes sense and maintaining financial independence.
For Dr Thomas Zipp, shareholder and Chairman of the Advisory Board, Gehrmann's appointment as the new CFO is very significant: ‘As an internationally active 1st tier development partner and supplier with a focus on the automotive industry, we are constantly operating in a volatile market environment. Together, our two managing directors have the mammoth task of making the company fit for the future for generations to come. This means stabilising the current core business and transforming the company into a diversified, profitable provider of sustainable plastics solutions. We shareholders and the Advisory Board are delighted to have gained a highly experienced and accomplished personality for this task in Dirk Gehrmann.’
